Recap: Rocky Mount Academy Eagles vs. Faith Christian Patriots
In what's become a running theme this season, the Rocky Mount Academy Eagles gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They blew past Faith Christian 79-31 at home. The victory was familiar territory for Rocky Mount Academy who now have three in a row.
Parker Eatmon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points. He has been hot recently, having posted 22 or more points the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Wright, who scored 12 points along with five assists.
Faith Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Michael Grant, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Bennie Griffin, who scored seven points.
Rocky Mount Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Faith Christian, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season.
Rocky Mount Academy will square off against Harrells Christian Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Rocky Mount Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Harrells Christian Academy likes a good challenge. As for Faith Christian, they will be playing at home against Halifax Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Halifax Academy is coming into the matchup with eight straight wins on the road, meaning Faith Christian will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
