Troy came tearing into Tuesday's contest with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Whitney Wildcats a 10-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Troy's victory bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Whitney, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Troy will face off against Ellison at 7:00 p.m. on March 18th. As for Whitney, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Whitney 3.8, West 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
