Softball Recap: Rockvale Comes Up Short

Rockvale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 13-2 to the Blackman Blaze. If Rockvale was looking for revenge after losing 12-10 to Blackman when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Rockvale saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Fiona Joyce, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Rockvale's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Blackman, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Rockvale is set to take on their familiar foe Siegel at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Blackman will face off against rival Riverdale at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
