Soccer Recap: Romeoville Comes Up Short

Romeoville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Plainfield South Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Romeoville of the 4-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Stephanie Mendez, who's now up to five this season.

Romeoville's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Plainfield South, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-9-1 record this season.

Romeoville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Plainfield South, they will head out on the road to challenge Yorkville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
