Recap: Garland vs. South Garland
On Friday, the Garland Owls's game was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They won by a goal and slipped past South Garland 2-1. That's another feather in the cap for Garland, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Emmanuel Lopez and
Fernando Santillan, who scored both of Garland's goals. The pair have combined for a total of six so far this season.
Garland is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6-1 record this season. As for South Garland, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7-5.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Wylie the next time they take the pitch. Garland will host Wylie at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while South Garland will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
