Basketball Recap: Castle View Comes Up Short

Castle View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 63-38 to the Legend Titans. The Sabercats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-20.

Despite the loss, Castle View still got an impressive performance from Kenzie Tosch, who went 7 of 10 on her way to 14 points and three steals. Tosch is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played.

Legend got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aubrey Cook out in front who posted 11 points and five boards. Maile Starns was another key player, putting up ten points.

Castle View's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Legend, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Castle View will challenge Regis Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Regis Jesuit knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Castle View likes a good challenge. Legend has already played their next contest (against Mountain Vista), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
