Basketball Game Preview: Cedar Ridge Timberwolves vs. Marshall Bobcats

The Cedar Ridge Timberwolves will face off against the Marshall Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cedar Ridge picked up another tournament win last Friday. They walked away with a 75-62 win over Cabot. Given the Timberwolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Panthers are ranked 159th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Marshall didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Jasper on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 48-44 victory.

Cedar Ridge's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Marshall, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.

Cedar Ridge ended up a good deal behind Marshall in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, losing 78-62. Can Cedar Ridge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
