Basketball Recap: Holy Cross' Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

Holy Cross lost against Bonnabel back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Holy Cross Tigers took a 58-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bonnabel Bruins. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Tigers came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Bruins are ranked 98th).

The defeat snapped Holy Cross' winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 16-2 record. As for Bonnabel, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Holy Cross Tigers take on the Catholic - N.I. Panthers at 7:10 p.m. on Friday. As for Bonnabel, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy at 6:00 p.m.
