Recap: Putnam Clippers vs. Parish Hill Pirates
The Putnam Clippers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their tenth straight loss. They took a 31-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of Parish Hill. Putnam was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Parish Hill apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Parish Hill's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaelyn Pearl, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Pearl scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Julie Millerd, who scored two points along with 11 rebounds and six steals.
Putnam dropped their record down to 2-13 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Parish Hill, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-9 record this season.
Putnam will be playing at home against Montville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Parish Hill, Parish Hill and Classical Magnet will face off at 4:30 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
