Volleyball Game Preview: Athol Bears vs. Sci-Tech CyberCats

The Athol Bears will head out on the road to challenge the Sci-Tech CyberCats at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Athol will be strutting in after a win while Sci-Tech will be coming in after a defeat.

Athol not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 22, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on Hampden Charter School of Science with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Bears, who have now won three contests in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-17, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Sci-Tech came up short against Granby on Monday and fell 3-1. The CyberCats haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-22, 25-27, 25-17.

Athol's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Sci-Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Athol couldn't quite get it done against Sci-Tech in their previous meeting on Thursday as they fell 3-1. Can the Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
