Softball Recap: Pinnacle Comes Up Short

Pinnacle had lost eight straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 0-11 to make it nine. They came up short against the Panguitch Bobcats, falling 19-0. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly 19 runs.

As for Panguitch, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-4. Considering they have won ten contests by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

For Panguitch's part, Brooklyn Harland made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Harland was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in both of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times she's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kadee Harland, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Jessop, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Pinnacle wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 16-0 defeat against Milford on the 25th. As for Panguitch, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-2 loss against Altamont on the 25th.
