Basketball Recap: Swansea Tigers vs. Fairfield Central Griffins

Swansea was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 33rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 63-31 loss at the hands of the Fairfield Central Griffins. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 48-36 on December 3rd.

Rashawn Brown continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Fairfield Central, putting up 12 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brenton Mack, who posted eight points and six rebounds.

Swansea's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Fairfield Central, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4.

Swansea will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pelion at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Pelion will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Swansea surely won't give up without a fight. Fairfield Central and Hanahan will round out the year against one another at at 12:00 p.m. on December 27th.
