Volleyball Recap: Heritage Christian Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Heritage Christian waltzed into their contest on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the SkyView Academy Hawks. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Heritage Christian was especially dominant in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-19, 16-25, 25-12.

Leading Heritage Christian to victory were Abby Leveillee and Annabelle Loucks. Leveillee had 12 digs and two aces, while Loucks had 14 kills, seven digs, and four aces. Loucks is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last 12 games she's played. Samantha Snow also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

Despite the loss, SkyView Academy still got an impressive performance from Taylor Bales, who had nine digs and one assist.

Heritage Christian's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for SkyView Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season.

Heritage Christian will welcome Lyons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for SkyView Academy, after both having extra time off, they and Sheridan will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on the 21st.
