Flag Football Recap: South Cobb Falls Short Against Ranked Denmark

South Cobb faced Denmark in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Eagles fell 20-14 to Denmark. The loss was the Eagles' first of the season.

Despite the loss, South Cobb still got an impressive performance from Aliceson Lewis, who threw for 152 yards and one touchdown, and also punched in one rushing score. A healthy portion of Lewis' aerial production (85 yards to be exact) went to Danielle Hurston.

Having lost for the first time this season, South Cobb fell to 5-1. As for Denmark, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Looking ahead, South Cobb will challenge North Paulding at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Denmark, they will take on Cherokee at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
