Basketball Game Preview: Plymouth Wildcats vs. Hartland Eagles

Plymouth hasn't had much luck against Hartland recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Plymouth Wildcats will take on the Hartland Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Plymouth will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Canton, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Plymouth took down Canton 48-33 on Tuesday. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Cobras are ranked 248th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hartland). They took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 66-24 victory over Novi. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Hartland's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Plymouth, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5.

Plymouth came up short against Hartland when the teams last played back in January, falling 37-28. Can Plymouth avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
