Volleyball Recap: Holgate Comes Up Short

Holgate lost against Stryker back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers fell 3-1 to the Panthers.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-17, 12-25, 25-22.

Delaney Meyer paced Holgate's offense, picking up eight kills. Meyer got some help from Sylee Leaders and her 16 assists. Finally, Mia Kelly kept Holgate's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Holgate's loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Stryker, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Holgate is set to challenge their familiar foe Gorham Fayette at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Stryker will face off against rival Hilltop at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
