Softball Game Preview: City College Black Knights vs. Aberdeen Eagles

The City College Black Knights will face off against the Aberdeen Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. City College is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 20.6 runs per game this season.

City College couldn't beat Joppatowne on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Black Knights fell just short of the Mariners by a score of 9-7. The match marked the Black Knights' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

City College saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Imani Lewis, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Lewis is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last ten games she's played dating back to last season. Another was Mackenzie Carter, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Meanwhile, Aberdeen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Edgewood, falling 20-0.

Having lost for the first time this season, City College fell to 11-1. As for Aberdeen, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-13.
