Football Game Preview: Marcus Marauders vs. Flower Mound Jaguars + How To Watch

The Marcus Marauders will challenge the Flower Mound Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Marcus has given up an average of 32.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Marcus managed to keep up with Guyer until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Marauders were outmatched by the Wildcats and fell 52-21. The game marked the Marauders' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Colton Nussmeier put forth a good effort for the losing side as he threw for 194 yards and one TD on only 17 passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of Marcus' success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Kade McKnight was in the mix as well, providing the Marauders with two touchdowns.

Even if they lost, Marcus' defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Cole Schott was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.

Meanwhile, Flower Mound didn't have quite enough to beat Braswell on Friday and fell 9-7. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marcus' loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Flower Mound, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Marcus barely slipped by Flower Mound in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 33-32. Will the Marauders repeat their success, or do the Jaguars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
