Softball Recap: Allegan Sets Scoring Season-High Against Lawton

Allegan extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 13 on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 0-12 in the process. They lost 18-3 to the Lawton Blue Devils. On the bright side, the three- run performance marked the Tigers' highest-scoring contest to date.

As for Lawton, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-10 record. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded them with their most commanding win of the season.

For Lawton's part, they got a massive performance out of Lily McCory, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five stolen bases, four runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave McCory a new career-high. Gia Bridges was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one triple.

While Allegan had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
