Projected first round pick was a read option nightmare as a prep.

As the NFL Draft nears, common sense is beginning to prevail when it comes to 2016 Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson.

The dynamic quarterback hasn't always been seen as a first round lock but recent projections by our friends at CBSSports.com have him going among the top 15 picks come Thursday evening.

That's more in line with his resume at Louisville, where he piled up over 13,000 total yards and 119 touchdowns in just three seasons. With over 4,000 yards on the ground, Jackson is one of the most productive dual-threat quarterbacks in the history of the college game.

Watch Jackson in action during his days at Boynton Beach (Fla.) in the video above. Don't be surprised to see him bring a little of that read option game to the team wise enough to draft him Thursday.
