Dynamic duo of Ray Weber and Dylan Beasley lead Plymouth Christian Academy to victory

Recap: Plymouth Christian Academy Eagles vs. Inter-City Baptist Chargers

The Plymouth Christian Academy Eagles can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They managed a 44-39 win over Inter-City Baptist. The victory was all the more spectacular given Plymouth Christian Academy's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 423rd, while Inter-City Baptist is ranked 178th).

Leading Plymouth Christian Academy to victory were Ray Weber and Dylan Beasley. Weber scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals, while Beasley dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Beasley pulled down eight or more rebounds. Aiden Sexton was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds.

Plymouth Christian Academy's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8. As for Inter-City Baptist, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plymouth Christian Academy will take on Oakland Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Inter-City Baptist won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Taylor at 7:00 p.m. on January 20th. Taylor is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
