Cross Lanes Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 70-62 to the Elk Valley Christian Eagles. One positive for the Warriors, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Cross Lanes Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Christian Shamblin, who posted 19 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Shamblin a new career-high in assists (three). Landon Ballard was another key player, going 8 of 16 en route to 19 points and eight boards.

Elk Valley Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Spencer Campbell, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 17 rebounds. Campbell is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last ten games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Hines, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 20 points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks.

Cross Lanes Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Elk Valley Christian, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4.

Cross Lanes Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 36-17 defeat against Covenant on the 28th. As for Elk Valley Christian, they will take on Beth Haven Christian at 8:00 p.m. on February 4th.
