Softball Recap: Carbon Falls Short of Providence Hall in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Carbon can now relate to. They fell just short of the Providence Hall Patriots by a score of 5-4 on Thursday. The Dinos were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 10-4.

Kennlee Kennedy was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Sienna Alderson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Carbon's defeat dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Providence Hall, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.

Carbon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Providence Hall, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 6-2 loss against Richfield on the 8th.
