The Forge Christian Fury took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 55-43 win over Denver Christian. That's another feather in the cap for Forge Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Forge Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Owen Hovis led the charge by scoring 21 points along with 6 rebounds. Jakan Sederwall was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.

Forge Christian's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Denver Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forge Christian will challenge Glenwood Springs at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
