Softball Recap: Atkins Comes Up Short

Atkins lost against Eastern Guilford back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Camels might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-2 to the Wildcats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Camels' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Atkins' loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Eastern Guilford, their record now sits at 6-8.

Coming up, Atkins will host Carver at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18 runs per game on average), something the Camels will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Eastern Guilford, they are taking a road trip to challenge Southeast Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
