Santa Teresa and Chaparral are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2022, but not for long. The Santa Teresa Desert Warriors will be playing at home against the Chaparral Lobos at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 57-17, which was the final score in Santa Teresa's tilt against Deming on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Desert Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 31st).

Meanwhile, Chaparral was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a hard 55-40 fall against Silver.

Chaparral's loss dropped their record down to 7-19. As for Santa Teresa, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-15 record this season.
