Baseball Recap: Subiaco Academy Takes a Loss

If Subiaco Academy was feeling good fresh off their 15-3 takedown of Acorn last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans fell just short of the Hector Wildcats by a score of 9-7 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Trojans have suffered since April 11, 2024.

Jacob Grist made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Pennington, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Subiaco Academy's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Hector, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
