Volleyball Recap: Granville Blue Aces vs. Watkins Memorial Warriors
Granville lost against Watkins Memorial back in September, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Granville Blue Aces fell just short of the Watkins Memorial Warriors by a score of 3-2. The Blue Aces haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Despite the loss, Granville still got an impressive performance from Emma Gulledge, who had ten digs and 12 assists. Gulledge is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in the last five games she's played dating back to last season.
Watkins Memorial had a senior duo take command as Lizzie Bricker had 26 digs and two aces and Michelle Downs had 17 digs and two aces. Those 26 digs set a new season-high mark for Bricker.
Granville's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Watkins Memorial, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-13 record.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Granville will welcome Zanesville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Watkins Memorial, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Licking Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
