Basketball Recap: 18 Straight Home Wins for Montpelier

Montpelier had won 17 straight home games dating back to last season and Carter Bruzzese did his part to make it 18 on Wednesday. The Montpelier Solons blew past the Lake Region Rangers, posting an 84-51 win thanks in part to Bruzzese, who went 10 of 23 en route to 27 points in addition to seven assists and five rebounds. His evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Stone Poor, who posted three points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (four).

Montpelier's victory bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Lake Region, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.

Montpelier will challenge Hazen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Montpelier's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Lake Region, they will be playing at home against Lamoille at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
