Summit has gone 8-1 against Franklin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Summit will be playing in front of their home fans against Franklin at 5:00 p.m.

Summit's tournament run continued when they took on Gordonsville on Saturday. Summit came up short against Gordonsville, falling 8-2.

Audrey Cathey made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run.

Meanwhile, Franklin had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Lawson with a sharp 15-5 victory on Friday. The Admirals' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Addison Myers made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chloe Rowland, who fired off four runs, five RBI, and three doubles while going 4-for-5. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Journey Josselyn, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 3-for-5.

Franklin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Summit's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Franklin, their win bumped their record up to 2-11.

Summit took their victory against Franklin in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0. Does Summit have another victory up their sleeve, or will Franklin turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
