Basketball Recap: Cobre Gets the Win

Cobre won the last time they faced Deming, and Zavin Guck did his part to make sure it happened again. The Cobre Indians blew past the Deming Wildcats 67-45 on Thursday thanks in part to Guck, who dropped a double-double on 36 points and 16 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Cobre's points.

Cobre's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Deming, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Cobre didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-36 victory against Lordsburg on the 20th. As for Deming, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 55-43 loss against Goddard on the 26th.
