Basketball Recap: Meridian Comes Up Short

Meridian lost to Murphysboro back in January of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bobcats lost 45-24 to the Red Devils. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meridian's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Murphysboro, their victory ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-19.

Looking ahead, Meridian will be playing at home against Hardin County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Murphysboro, they will face off against Metro-East Lutheran at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
