Softball Recap: Lower Merion Takes a Loss

Lower Merion fell victim to Haverford and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Fords, falling 21-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Fords this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in March.

Lower Merion saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evyn Robinson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple.

This is the second loss in a row for Lower Merion and nudges their season record down to 7-11-1. As for Haverford, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lower Merion will take on rival Ridley at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Haverford is set to square off against their familiar foe Upper Darby at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in the Fords' favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while the Royals have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
