Basketball Recap: St. Rose Snags 17th Win in Last 20 Games

St. Rose had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They claimed a resounding 80-39 victory over the St. Joseph Wildcats. The Purple Roses have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 22 points or more this season.

St. Rose has been performing well recently as they've won 17 of their last 20 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.2 points over those games. St. Joseph moved to 22-5 with that loss, which also ended their nine-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, St. Rose will square off against Rutgers Prep on Monday. St. Rose knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Rutgers Prep likes a good challenge. St. Joseph does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
