Baseball Recap: Weiser Takes a Loss

If Weiser was feeling good fresh off their 17-7 takedown of Parma last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolverines lost 19-4 to the Fruitland Grizzlies on Monday. The Wolverines haven't had much luck with the Grizzlies recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Weiser saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jace Waggoner, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Weiser's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-1. As for Fruitland, the win keeps they at an undefeated 13-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Grizzlies beat Weiser by a score of 11-1 on Wednesday.
