Volleyball Game Preview: Alamance Christian Warriors vs. Vandalia Christian Vikings

Alamance Christian is 2-8 against Vandalia Christian since October of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Warriors will take on the Vikings at 5:15 p.m. Alamance Christian will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

While Alamance Christian's win against Triad Baptist Christian Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Titans 3-2 on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Alamance Christian got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 15-25, 25-23, 19-25, 15-9.

Meanwhile, Vandalia Christian came up short against Liberty Christian on Tuesday and fell 3-1. The Vikings have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Vandalia Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Alamance Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.

Alamance Christian took their win against Vandalia Christian when the teams last played last Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
