Basketball Recap: Freeport Comes Up Short

Freeport was the 42-34 winner over Yarmouth when they last played one another back in December of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Falcons were just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 44-43 to the Clippers. Falcons fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Clippers since Monday.

Freeport now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Yarmouth, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Freeport is set to square off against their familiar foe Lincoln Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Yarmouth will face off against rival Greely at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
