Football Game Preview: River Valley Falcons vs. Antelope Titans + How To Watch

River Valley is 0-5 against Antelope since October of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Falcons will be playing at home against the Titans at 7:30 p.m. Antelope took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on River Valley, who comes in off a win.

River Valley is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 40-0 win over Kennedy. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Falcons as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead River Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jesus Fernandez, who rushed for 184 yards and two TDs on only 13 carries. Those 184 rushing yards gave Fernandez a new career-high. Another back making a difference was Anthony Zablotsky, who rushed for 107 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven carries.

River Valley's run defense was locked in: Kennedy could only muster 2.7 yards per carry. The Falcons didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 11.7.

Meanwhile, Antelope was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 29-23 to Destiny Christian Academy. The defeat continues a trend for the Titans in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost five in a row.

River Valley will have to contain Philip Goudeaux III as he made an impact in Antelope's last game. He rushed for 96 yards and two scores.

River Valley's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Antelope, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-7.

River Valley was dealt a bruising 42-12 defeat at the hands of Antelope in their previous matchup back in October of 2023. Thankfully for the Falcons, David Whitten (who threw for 152 yards and three TDs while completing 84.6% of his passes, and also rushed for 53 yards and one touchdown) won't be suiting up this time.
