Baseball Game Preview: Harrison Central Red Rebels vs. St. Martin Yellow Jackets

For the first time this season, Harrison Central will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Tuesday. They will venture away from home to take on the St. Martin Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. Harrison Central has given up an average of 8.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Harrison Central came up short against Hartfield Academy on Wednesday, falling 13-2. The Red Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bryan Travis was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. He also scored a run, marking his first of the season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, St. Martin was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They fell 4-0 to Picayune.

Harrison Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for St. Martin, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Everything went Harrison Central's way against St. Martin in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Harrison Central made off with a 14-4 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Harrison Central since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
