Baseball Recap: St. Mary's Ryken's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but St. Mary's Ryken ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They skirted past Bishop O'Connell 5-3. This was a revenge game for St. Mary's Ryken: when they faced off against Bishop O'Connell back in April, they had to take a 7-5 loss.

AJ Stefko was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

The victory was the third in a row for St. Mary's Ryken, bringing their record up to 14-13. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bishop O'Connell, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-5.

As of now, neither St. Mary's Ryken nor Bishop O'Connell have any future games scheduled.
