Football Recap: Oak Ridge Starts Season with Victory on the Road + How To Watch

Oak Ridge had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They breezed past the Frontier Titans to the tune of 40-7. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Titans are ranked 75th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oak Ridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isaac Pierce led the charge by picking up 91 receiving yards and one TD. Tyler Andujar was in the mix too, providing the Trojans with two scores.

Oak Ridge didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Frontier to a completion percentage of just 40%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from two players: Pierce and Aschlei Andrade, who each logged two passes deflected. Oak Ridge wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 75%.

Looking ahead, Oak Ridge will take on Mission Hills at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Frontier, they will challenge Liberty at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
