Basketball Recap: Parsippany Takes a Loss

After flying high against Morris County Tech last Monday, Parsippany came back down to earth. The Parsippany Redhawks were outmatched by the Pequannock Golden Panthers and fell 67-40. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Redhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-60 back in December of 2024.

Several Redhawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alex Schmieder, who went 5 of 11 en route to 11 points and five rebounds. Arthur Smith was another key player, putting up nine points.

Parsippany's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Pequannock, they pushed their record up to 9-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Parsippany will challenge Mountain Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain Lakes will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Parsippany surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pequannock, they will square off against Morristown-Beard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
