Baseball Recap: Ubly Extends Winning Streak to Three

Ubly had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They blew past the Capac Chiefs 8-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bearcats also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Ubly's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Capac, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3-1.

Looking ahead, Ubly will look to defend their home field on Monday against Millington at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bearcats 1.8, the Cardinals 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Capac, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-3 loss against Algonac on the 19th.
