The Greenville Yellow Jackets will head out on the road to  challenge  the Lakeview Wildcats  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Greenville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13.2  runs per game  this season.
Last Wednesday, Greenville got the win against Tri County Area  by a conclusive  19-3. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Yellow Jackets.
 Cam Klco made a splash no matter where she played. She  struck out seven batters over  three innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   one  hit. Klco was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Drew Galey, who  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and four  RBI. Those  stolen bases marked the first that  she  snagged this season.  Alexa Hyler was another key player,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
 Greenville  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters  every time they've taken the field this season.
 Meanwhile, Lakeview fell victim to Vestaburg and their airtight pitching crew  on Friday. They lost  10-0 to the Wolverines. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Wolverines recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.
 Greenville pushed their record up to 3-1 with the  win, which was their fifth straight  on the road dating back to last season. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 19.4 runs over those games. As for Lakeview, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
 Greenville took their  win against Lakeview  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2021 by a conclusive  17-2 score. Will the Yellow Jackets repeat their success,  or do  the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
