Football Game Preview: Jacksonville Crimsons vs. MacArthur Generals

The Jacksonville Crimsons will head out to square off against the MacArthur Generals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Jacksonville's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Quincy Notre Dame on Friday. They were beaten by the Raiders 28-0. The Crimsons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times MacArthur and Rochester have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Generals took a blow against the Rockets, falling 51-14. While losing is never fun, the Generals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 162nd, while the Rockets are ranked 25th).

MacArthur's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Jacksonville, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Everything came up roses for Jacksonville against MacArthur when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 53-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crimsons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
