Volleyball Recap: Arrowhead's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

After a string of five wins, Arrowhead's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Hamilton Chargers. The Warhawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Chargers earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

While Arrowhead ultimately came up short, they really made Hamilton work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 29-27, 25-15.

Jason Fernandez paced Arrowhead's offense, picking up seven kills. Fernandez got some help from William Cornell and his 15 assists. Finally, Jack Dennis kept Arrowhead's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Arrowhead's defeat dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Hamilton, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 23-5.

Arrowhead didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Kettle Moraine on the 8th. As for Hamilton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Germantown on the 8th.
