Basketball Recap: Mason County's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

After flying high against Augusta last Wednesday, Mason County came back down to earth. The Mason County Royals took a 40-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Montgomery County Indians on Saturday. The Royals haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Mason County's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6. As for Montgomery County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mason County has already played their next matchup (against West Union), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Montgomery County will face off against George Rogers Clark at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in George Rogers Clark's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten games.
