Adams has gone 8-1 against Jefferson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Adams Cougars will challenge the Jefferson Patriots at 7:00 p.m.

Adams is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to eight goals two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Poteet last Friday. They came up short against the Pirates, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 165th, while the Pirates are ranked 43rd).

Meanwhile, Jefferson kept a clean sheet against South Oak Cliff last Friday. They blew past the Bears 3-0. Considering the Patriots have won five matches by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Adams' loss dropped their record down to 12-5-2. As for Jefferson, their win bumped their record up to 7-5-4.

Adams skirted past Jefferson 3-2 in their previous meeting back in March of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Adams since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
