Johnson had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 9-6 victory over the Weslaco Panthers on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Jaguars sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Jadyn Teeter looked comfortable as she pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Aubrey Tijerina, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Mia Ruiz, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Johnson lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Johnson's record is now 25-4-1. As for Weslaco, the defeat snapped their winning streak at 16 games and leaves them with a 20-11 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Johnson beat the Panthers by a score of 12-1 on Saturday.
