Softball Recap: Live Oak Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Live Oak can now relate to. They came up short against the Winters Warriors on Friday, falling 9-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-5 back in April.

Live Oak saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Melina Jurado, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Live Oak now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Winters, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-12 record this season.

Live Oak does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Winters, they will face off against Colusa at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the RedHawks have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
